THE FIGURE EIGHT EP
RELEASED 19.05.08 ON 10 INCH VINYL, CD AND DIGITAL FORMATS (CAT NO: OTB010).
This Et Al return to the forefront of dark and menacing rock with The Figure Eight EP. Recorded with producer and long-term collaborator James Kenosha (Grammatics, Duels) and with artwork by Chicago artist Diana Sudyka (Decemberists, Melvins); The Figure Eight EP is the first release from This Et Al via the On The Bone label and their first since the critically acclaimed debut LP Baby Machine.
The Figure Eight EP is a return to their unforgettable brand of catchy, dark, moving and empowering song writing. Lead track, Figure Eight is a rumbling and grotesque bass-monster (which has been a live favourite for some time) and shows This Et Al are still more than capable of bringing down the house with loud yet memorable music. Other tracks include the beat ridden & riff ready Medicine Hammer, the softly sung yet thumping Ice Age (which features vocals from all members of the band) and finally the dark and enticing instrumental (The Tale Of) Frosty Jackson. This new release marks some of the bands finest work to date and work has already begun on a full length follow up, expected late 2008.
